**When you reserve a Suite at our hotel, we agree to turn away all other requests for your Suite and you agree to pay the rate quoted for the number of days you reserve. There is no refund for early check-outs.

Cancellations can occur at anytime. However please keep in mind our refund policy. Full payment is required at time of booking to reserve a room. Please contact us to cancel your reservation.

• Cancellations made 7 days prior to local hotel time of 6pm (CST) are given a full refund minus a 5% service fee of the total reservation amount.
• Cancellations made 48 hours prior to local hotel time of 6pm (CST) are given a 50% refund minus a 5% service fee of the total reservation amount.
• Cancellations made anytime after 48 hours prior to local hotel time are not given any refunds.
• There is no refund for early check-outs.

Airbnb Airbnb is a third party website that allows travelers to book a room anywhere in the world. Reservations for the Sandhills Suites can be booked online through Airbnb by setting up a free account with Airbnb. We recommend downloading Airbnb’s free mobile app for easy access to messages from us as hosts for check-in code and other information. Booking through Airbnb streamlines the check-in process for guests and hosts. Payment is completed through Airbnb and guests are given a code for check-in, giving guests more flexibility with their schedule. The Sandhills Suites is not staffed 24/7 thus, if you are traveling late or on a tight schedule, this gives guests the option to check-in at their leisure.

All reservations made through Airbnb must be cancelled by the guest through Airbnb. As Airbnb Hosts, we lose credibility and are penalized by cancelling reservations, thus it is the guests’ responsibility for cancelling any reservation made through Airbnb. If you need assistance changing an Airbnb reservation, please edit online through Airbnb’s mobile app or website or by giving us a call.

Check-In time is 2pm. Check-Out time is 11am.

Early Check-In is by request only and not guaranteed. Late Check-Out must be coordinated with the hotel if it is available.

The Sandhills Suites is a contactless check-in hotel. Each suite has an electronic keypad deadbolt that requires a code to gain entry. The morning of check-in a code is texted to the cellphone on file to access your room.

We do not provide Breakfast. Sandhills Suites offers locally roasted coffee by Normal Roasting Co. from Burwell in each room. If you require more than coffee to get your day going we recommend grabbing breakfast at: The Spot or Verda’s Cafe (both within walking distance from the Sandhills Suites) or Creekside at Calamus West on HWY 96 by the Calamus Reservoir.

No. All of our suites have a queen bed in the private bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living area.

Pets are not allowed at the Sandhills Suites due to the courtesy of other guests.

Please note there is NO elevator in our historic building. Rooms 102, 103 and 105 are all ground floor rooms. All other rooms are accessed via climbing stairs. We are also more than happy to help carry luggage to the second floor.

Sandhills Suites does not offer discounts including, but not limited to AAA, AARP, Senior Citizen.

Sandhills Suites is a smoke free establishment. A $200 cleaning fee will be applied if a room has been smoked in. A credit card is held on file in the event of damage or theft. Guest is responsible for replacement costs on damages and theft of items.

Room blocks are not available at the Sandhills Suites. We recommend booking reservations asap.

Street parking is available. Boats and trailers can be parked in the parking lot next to The Hitching Post or in the parking lot across the square by the Pizza Palace. If parked in Post Office parking lot [behind the Sandhills Suites] vehicles must be removed by 7 am (Monday – Saturday) to avoid getting towed. The Sandhills Suites is not responsible for guests who get towed by the Post Office.

Complimentary high-speed WIFI is available to all guests throughout the establishment.

Ice is available upon request. There are no vending machines on site. The following convenience stores are located in Burwell:

Onsite laundry is not available. The local laundromat is located at 130 N. HWY 11.
